Hıstory Of House Vırgıne Mary

Jesus was 33 years old when he was crucified by the Romans in Jerusalem. Hz. With his last breath, Jesus first delivers Mary to his close friend, St. Jean. Saint Jean brings him to Ephesus from the notorious city of Jerusalem for the Virgin Mary (33 AD). Since Ephesus was under the rule of the Romans, he hid Mary in the forest on the back slope of Mount Bülbül and built a house. The Gospel of St. Jean will also be discussed here. his tomb; is inside the Basilica of Saint-Jean in Selcuk. It is said that the Virgin Mary lived as long as she stayed in 101 and the Fair was said.

The discovery of the House of Virgin Mary on Bülbül Mountain, near the ancient city of Ephesus, in the Selçuk district of İzmir, begins with the dream of a peasant woman named Anna Katharina Emmerick (1774-1824), who had never been to Ephesus. The dreams follow each other and say that “The House of Virgin Mary is on the mountain behind the city of Ephesus, that she sees both Ephesus and the sea, and that there is cool spring water”. Sister Katerin, who has never been outside of Germany, collects all these dreams in a book. The book he named “The Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary” attracts great attention in the Christian world. Based on this book, the Vatican began to search for the house of the Virgin Mary in 1881.

10 years later, the Director of Izmir French College and Hebrew expert, Lazarist Priest Eugene Poulin, who knows Jewish traditions well, also examines Katharina Emmerick’s book and decides to organize a trip to Ephesus. Although he did not go, he appointed two priests and two Catholics.
On July 27, 1891, four men set out. In Ephesus, they ask for help from a person named Mustafa, who knows the region well. However, a while ago, an Armenian Catholic priest claimed to have found something in Değirmendere and set off from Aziziye (Çamlık) instead of Ayasuluk (Selçuk). When the head of the delegation came to the Orthodox monastery in Değirmendere, Jung Bey asked the nun there, “Where did the Virgin Mary die?” he asked. He asks. In return, he gets the answer “in Jerusalem”.
Since the trip to Değirmendere did not yield positive results, the four seekers decided to spend the night in Kuşadası and continue their research the next day, taking Katharina Emerick’s book as a guide with a compass from Ayasuluk.

Towards 11:00 on July 29, 1891, they came, exhausted, to a small plateau where tobacco was planted. Because they are thirsty, they ask the women working in the fields for water. They said, “We have no water, go to the monastery, you will find water there.” With a sign, they indicate a rather dilapidated house.

After the four researchers quench their thirst, they look around and are stunned. The ruined house, the mountain behind the house, the sea in front of them… Exactly Katharina Emmerick’s description of the house of Mary… Katharina Emmerick, the slope where the House of Virgin Mary is located, Ephesus, and the sea can be seen from above. your mountain. For two days they ran from hill to hill, but Ephesus and the sea could not be seen from anywhere other than the top of the mountain where the House of Virgin Mary was located. So they return to Izmir and happily begin to explain that they have found Mary’s house.
